I’m a mod on another forum, the owner of the forum didn’t believe the hype...now his nephew supposedly has it.

He’s in Temecula, CA, and has been turned away from the hospital and two clinics - “go home” is what he says they were told to do.

Says he’s 20 and it’s like the worst flu imaginable, going on 5 days now.

This is the closest I’ve come to knowing someone with it.

Tell him to get the kid to drink tonic water.

That isn't medical advice and I'm not a doctor, I'm just reading between the lines about potential treatments.

Had the worst flu I've ever had around 3 weeks ago... keeps trying to come back, been working from home since onset of symptoms.

Whole family had it, doctors here won't test unless it's severe enough to admit to hospital... but admit all our symptoms line up, especially with symptoms returning after you think you have it beat.

I didn't put a vote in, because I assume you mean CONFIRMED cases
Yeah I had the same thing in January. Like a bad cold with a persistent cough and an on-again/off-again fever. Went away after a couple of weeks. My sister had the same thing in December or so. Now we're wondering if we had the rona.

I had a cold right before Christmas that turned into bronchitis in January. That kicked my but for all of January. My daughter says she thinks I had it. I think she's crazy, but it sure would be nice if it were true and I had resistance to it now.

But I still think I just had bronchitis. If it was in the US in December, it would have spread as quick as it did in China in January.

One of my best friends, some of you may recall he couch-surfed at my house for about 8 months while he was going thru a messy divorce last year...looks like he may have it.

Several days now he’s had a fluctuating fever that went up to 100.6, aches, sleeps nonstop, cough/congestion. Went to the hospital, they told him to assume he has it, go home and quarantine, and if it gets worse then come back and we’ll test/treat you.

Crazy that they literally turned him away.

I won’t change my vote yet, because he ain’t confirmed.

    To ALL,

ImVho, this "whole big deal" is VASTLY OVERBLOWN by the LEFTIST PRESS & the DIMocRATS Party & the Chinese virus is UNLIKELY to even be remembered by most people in a year. = By then, the LEFTISTS will have a "new crisis" to howl, rant, rave, whine & whimper about & "that we must spend TRILLIONS of DOLLARS upon, right this second".

    yours, satx

That’s what’s happening at most hospitals. Most have very few tests available so there are strict guidelines for when they can be used.

CDC dropped the ball in February and declined the offer from WHO for a bunch of test and said we’d make our own. Now we’re behind the curve.

A friend's cousin has it (confirmed case). She's freaking out because he lives alone and is barely able to get out of bed due to the body aches - but he's been turned away from the ER because he doesn't need a ventilator yet.

And I just found out a high school friend of my sister's has it, and the friend's husband as well. Confirmed, positive test for the husband last Saturday. My sister's friend is waiting for her test result, but is having more severe symptoms than her husband and has tested negative for the flu.
