Not really a panic buy, but semi planned. I was going out to look for a Sig P365 SAS, but found a standard model with manual safety in stock, at a price about $150 less than the SAS would have been had I ordered one, so I took it. I saw a Marlin 39a Mountie in the shop, and went back the next week and picked it up, guess you could call that a panic buy because you don't see those every day.

Nice stash. Curious what .35 Rem you have. I've got an old Remington 141 in .35, I think it's from the early 1940's.

The stash is a lot more than a case. This stuff became impossible to find at a reasonable price back in 2013 or maybe it was the ammo panic when GWB was president. A few manufacturers stopped making it for quite the while to replenish other more popular calibers. I think only Hornady kept making it and I am happy I picked up some of that with the plastic tips, the Hornady Leverevolution Flex-Tip 200 rain. Much more accurate than round nosed 35 REM.

As for the guns, I have both a Marlin 336 and a Remington 141. I think that's it currently, sold another 141 awhile back.

I got amusement from people's behavior, especially everyone buying their first gun with no intention of putting in the time it takes to be proficient.

I got caught up on yard work thanks to my two kids staying home from school.

I had the rest of the stuff I need already.

My prediction is that about 6 months from now the used gun ("like new") market will be red hot.

Only they will be priced above retail at the time and no one will want to buy them. They just want to get back what they paid in a down market.

    Out here by the lake!
You must hang around rest areas a lot. Every BJ given by a woman is paid for one way or another.
True story time. Once many years ago a buddy makes his annual pilgrimage to SummerFest in Milwaukee. As he is parking his vehicle some crack whore propositions him about a blow job. He tells her he has no money & she negotiated cheaper & cheaper with him. Finally a deal is struck for a couple of beers & the 3 remaining peanut butter sammiches that are in a plastic bread bag. Having no condom he wore the bread bag.

I would be tempted to draw down on her/him/it for attempted assault with a deadly weapon! ;)

You never know where that thing has been.
