Gun shops in Killeen (class III)

Anyone have a recommendation of a quality class III dealer in the Killeen area? I'll be PCSing there for 2 years in a few months and want to start buying some class III items and have reputable shop I can go through.

I do believe that Texas Star Shooting Range Is. Not sure about Guns Galore.
There is also Capitol Armory in Austin.

Depending on what you are looking to obtain, SilencerShop is just north of Austin in Cedar Park if I recall. Just tossing out options...

The other day I was trying to help a lady locate a Mossberg 500 20ga youth. Walmart-$289, Guns Galore-$389(high but not out of line) and Marksman Guns in Killeen- $600.
I bought 2 .22lr mags this week for less than I could get them online except Midway. But everyone was out anyway. And the shipping would have made the price even or more. Butler Creek scope covers are cheaper there than Academy and a better selection.
Many of the reloading supplies are cheaper there than anywhere else in the area and some are comparable to Academy.
On top of that, until they get to know you, they are sometimes a little snobbish.
BUT, they do have stuff you can't get anywhere else in the area. And prices did NOT get jacked up for the panic. In fact they pulled most of the most popular calibers ammo, they don't keep a lot, so buyers could get at least a box with their new pistol.
Personally, I think some of their gun prices are high. But some are comparable to Academy or Walmart.

I don't have any stake in the store. Don't even know their names. Like any other store, know what you are buying, the going rates and shop around.
I know people that work for Marksman Guns, no more money from me. That limits the choices in the area. The pawn shops that sell guns are generally higher than Guns Galore as well.
I have gotten stuff at Gun Connection in Taylor cheap enough to make the drive worth it but they are not classIII ARAIK.

They do have bad reviews. Mostly because people expect prices like Walmart and Academy.
Quantico closed quite a while ago. Some of their stuff was pretty high as well.
People don't realize that quite a few items at Academy can be bought online cheaper. Even with shipping. Some is no cheaper or even higher than Bass Pro or Cabelas.

I went into Marksman one time and will never return.

Besides extremely high prices on everything the counter guy was giving bad advise on what the law said. So bad I waited for the customer to free up and told them the counter guy didn't know what he was talking about and where to find the truth.

Not quite Cedar Park. Just south of Lakeline mall on 183 and 45/620 area.

Best guy I ever delt with I found doing a search in my zip code. He was a doctor & did it on the side out of his house. $25.00 NFA transfers. He shut it down when wait times went crazy as he didn't want others inventory for that long.

Go see Johnny Wade at Nocked and Loaded in Killeen. Their first store in Lampasas is a Cl III, believe they are going to get their Killeen location licensed as well.
