Here's another, not sure what this is. Also, what does the crest symbolize?

Found some slides that were my dad's. He was in the Army, stationed somewhere in Korea. He never spoke of his time in the military, so finding the slides was pretty awesome. He passed almost 20 yrs ago. Anyone know what the patch on his sleeve is?

If that patch is shield-shaped & not round. And if that's an Indian chief picture in the center of the star, then it is 2nd Infantry Div. But I can't really tell.

I looked at other photos and did see Indian chief in center of the star. Thanks for the information.

Soldiers queue up to receive food at field mess. They wear heavy expressions on their faces and have likely experienced intense fighting while also having to stay warm in freezing conditions. Each solder has multiple layers on, gloves and heavy boots, with their rifles strapped to their backs as they eat

Holy hell! That's the picture from National Geographic that has my grandfather in it! He is wearing the white bandana around his face because of the cold. We were talking about the pic and he would ramble on and on about the other soldiers in line. He had some great stories all the way to the end.
