    No tests are available . . .

I went to my GP's website today for planning purposes. Not a single mention of CV, how to get tested or what to do if you think you have it. I expected at least typical CDC / DSHS links but nada. Not very reassuring. :(

This is 100% my crazy mind wondering something but maybe the old English habit of tea time had roots in something more beneficial. From my reading it sounds like the asymptomatic folks are speeding it through the virus living in their throats... so what if drinking a cup of piping hot liquid (why not coffee, too) down your throat every couple of hours would help kill some of the virus or at least slow it down?

You know...I'm noticing some rather odd misspellings for such a supposedly educated person.

Something else to ruminate over in one's drink.

Oh I noticed it. That's why I directly asked what his job title and duties were, and who he worked for.

My expectations of getting direct or defined answers wasn't very high!

I fully expected side stepping from the idiot, and that's what he did!

Well it got too close to home. It seems a grandson and granddaughter along with their mother have all the symptoms, tested negative for flu. The other 2 grandsons and their dad, my son, nothing yet but??? Are all quarantined for 7 days. No tests are available to confirm to confirm or deny. She's been working from home but he hasn't (truck driver) but now having to use 5 sick days to keep the paycheck coming. After that???. So much for Henderson County having only 1 case.

They haven't been around us for over 2 weeks so we should be good.

    Prayers appreciated.

Prayers and well wishes going your way.

To be in throats or saliva or body fluids its already in your body. Aka too late. You kill it on your hands or skin or you're playing roulette.

Basic biology and all the shit we learned from Aids MERS TB etc translates here as far as the basics go. I say basics, we were taught lots of stuff in the 80s and 90s cause on the job dangers were so high then. This virus appears more easily transmitted and a long asymptomatic period. Those together are bad if your in a danger group. Still I'm hopeful this will end up being just a high normal flu year. That said its awful costly to meet that goal.

    Anyways basics...

Like bleach solutions for sanatizer have a finite shelf life once mixed, which is why all the wipes and such have different components. Bleach cleaners right out of the bottle are great as is bleach. Its ability to quickly kill viruses can degrade quicker than you might think.

They say unopened bleach has a 6 month shelf life then loses potency at 15 to 20 percent a year. We neve kept 50 50 solution for disinfectant over 30 days. Why gamble with your life. How old was it to begin with? Who mixed it etc.

Dallas county has lots of beds and like 750 vents unused so folks are wondering why an emergency hospital is set up there.

Gov abbot is going to move it I think. Where? Send it to New Orleans? Hold onto the resources in tx?

In a normal emergency they would be re assigned to the logistics command or incident command i.e. fema.
