More progress.....

Dressed out the comp.

Before blending

Roughed in. Still about an hours work left to do....

Fitting ignition controls.....

Everything is roughed in. Still some things I need to address as to smoothing out actions etc. Everything will get ceracoat. Still mulling over the color scheme.

No adjustments and still need to polish internals but close to my intended 3.5 lb break on the trigger. Not bad for initial assembly.

OK. So now it is the "Custom fit/polish process. Then color. Leaning towards a black/ghost grey bitone.

A couple I pulled out of the safe as I hadn't seen them in a while. The Kimber is the first pistol I ever bought. Shoot great and trigger is super smooth.

This is one of my EDC's. It is a reverse two-tone (same colors as the Glock in other picture).

Gold Cup National Match. S70 MK IV.

That's two new 1911 pistols in the past week! I'm on a roll.

I also picked up a 1918 Colt US Property 1911. Sadly it's been nickel plated, had parts replaced, trigger and barrel at a minimum, front strap checkered, and a S&W K frame adjustable rear sight mounted. I'm trying to figure out if I'm going to keep it or sell it. It came from the collection of the Veteran who's widow I'm helping out. I need to take it down and clean it up. See if I can find any Gunsmith markings on it. It reminds me of some of the work that Swenson did back in the '80's and early '90's.

I've gotta try and place a value on it. Pretty tough to do on something like this.

#2 of the current pair in process.
Business end of a bull barreled 10mm 1911. Still so much to do.

Stainless slide/steel frame. Lots of fitment to do and ignition parts and barrel link are in the mail.

#1 is in color. Very different than my usual.

The spouse picked the grips before she saw the gun just by what I told her the colors were. Showed here on the Ceracoat site. She did good.....
