As others have stated, heavy when empty, ice won't last 10 days, a pain to carry when loaded.

My son has a Yeti, I have a RTIC. They are pretty much equal. Ice lasts about the same, weigh about the same, keep cold about the same. But I paid $115 for RTIC.

Its funny but I rarely use it due to the weight. I find myself using one with wheels.

I have 3. First was a Tundra 45, a local hardware store had them on sale as they were trying to get rid of them as they were expensive enough that they did not move very fast. Loaded was so heavy I got as set of 4 wheels for it, first tried 2 but did not set level. Made a big difference in moving it around. It stays in the trunk of my wife's car for grocery shopping. Next was a roadie 20, which resides on the back seat/floor in my pickup for convenience. Third was the big boy for us, a Yeti Haul with built in wheels and folding handle, again heavy to pick up in and out of truck, but a breeze to move around. Downdside is that they do or did not( have not checked recently) offer a dry basket. The last one I paid too much, but like the convenience and mobility., the first two were relative bargins so no complaints on pricing overall. Absolutly the best coolers I have had. I tried what was at the time a well rated Igloo cube type with wheels, but no insulation in the lid and molded in hinges that allowed the lid to literally pop off, wound up giving it away, literally junk. I know there are others as good, possibly better than the Yeti, but they seem too have set the bar on good coolers. If I were starting over I would certainly look at some of the others, but these are so good they will be passed on to my son in a few years. We have a couple of the mid size tumblers, upgraded with the magnetic slide lids. At first I thought they would leak if tipped over and yes they do , slowly if the slider is closed, not watertight but it will not spill out. I can fill half way with ice cubes , then water mid afternoon and some of that ice will remain the next morning, inside at about 70-72 degrees. As far as the coolers, have never used outdoors inextremely hot weather, at our ages we prefer vacations in fall or early winter here in the south when temps are milder, and often take food to our other house about 4 hours away, never had a problem with keeping anything cold. When shopping for groceries in hot weather can put frozen goods in the hot cooler and they will be still be frozen an hour later when we get home.

@Vaquero In a couple of more minutes the salesman came back and said that if we would leave right then he would give us 3 of the $50 Target cards and 3 of the $25 Outback cards. I said "Show me the cards." and he pulled them out of his pocket and we left.
Should asked to hand them over then left...I enjoy my Yeti cooler, I wanted to keep my drinks cold while deer hunting here in TX. It could be 40* one day and 70 the next. My Coleman and others couldn't do it but the Yeti does it...Christmas gift from the wife.

I didn't know yeti was an enemy of 2nd Amendment.
Their coolers are unusually heavy and everyone knows they re spensive. Yeti is not kayak friendly except for the soft side cooler.

Update: I loaded my 35 with beer and water with ice to the brim this past Friday. It was kept in either my car or utility room (without A/C). The ice was melted by Monday night. It was opened regularly
Curious to see how mid July or late December will act

Just bought myself a tundra 35 for general use. It’s an expensive excuse to make your ice last longer but you can’t argue with ice lasting 10 days!
What is your experience with the products? Feel free to share pictures!

“YETI” has joined Nike, Levi’s, COSTCO, PEPSICO, Progressive, etc. as a declared ENEMY of our Second Amendment.

I would NEVER buy any of their products.

And, when would you plan on opening it while in use? All of those icekeeping features are USELESS if it is opened frequently.

To top all that, Texas HEB Markets now has its own line of similar chests at about half the price !

“YETI” can go straight to HELL !

I was at Buc-ees awhile back and they had R-tic coolers on sale. I talked to a rep who was there from Rtic and was told that the 2 owners of Yeti had a falling out. One left and started Rtic. Was told they are made exactly the same as Yeti. Prices are a lot lower. You are paying for the name Yeti. I love the Rtic that I bought and wasn't near the price of Yeti.

This is probably the only yeti I’ll ever buy. I like it for the job it’ll serve. Any larger sizes, I’ll get an RTIC or similar brand

Yetis aren't something I would ever buy. I would look at other manufacturers if I needed something like that.

Price/ value and politics are big concerns for me.

For me, the Yeti (and other Gucci coolers) solve a problem that I don’t have. I have been doing hunting and fishing trips and family camping trips for the last half century. I use Coleman coolers or whatever I can find for a reasonable price. I haven’t had any problems. Most fishing and hunting trips don’t last for 10 days, or whatever. Even when I’ve run out of ice, the water is cold enough to keep the beer drinkable.
