Wondering that myself. I know the XL is a bit longer and taller. I'd probably carry the 365 with the taller 12 round mags which seemed to provide the best grip size for me.

I went to Hicksville gun range for 4 hours or so yesterday. Brought many pistols and my BCM AR and Tavor. Total round count was about 1k. No pics, phone camera hasn't been working for a while

    SQL,

    Thanks!

I'm wondering if there's any serious difference between the first model 365 and XL in handling and carrying?
The XL is slightly softer shooting, and a little easier to grip because it’s smaller magazines still hold 12 rounds instead of 10. I only carry 12 rounders in my regular 365 anyway so that doesn’t matter to me. I am considering adding the 365XL to the stable also, but that’s got nothing to do with any perceived shortcomings of the 365. I just want one.

I've shot the p365 and XL. They're both great shooting pistols, especially for their size. Actually was shooting the p365 XL yesterday. Only thing I would change is the sights. I like Sig x-ray sights, but the front sight post is very wide and that dot is enormous, covers quite a lot of what you're shooting at.

I've read that the Sig 365 sights are designed to be a combat hold so they're supposed to cover up the target. Shrug.

They are. I'm okay with the combat hold, it's just a really wide front site, basically has very little space on either side. Not something that ruins the gun, but if I have any complaint about it, it is the sights. Usable, but not my personal preference.

I shot with the 28 gauge group.

Went back again yesterday and shot .410 practice/fun with my Model 42.

Ya' gotta' move closer to the target! Maybe about three or four feet away, should work great then!
