Coopers bbq by Billy Bobs in FT Worth has good brisket, Riskys, also near Billy Bobs has good beef ribs.
Some friends and I took a short motorcycle ride to Alvarado to try out a little place called Massy's bbq. That was some of the best brisket and pork ribs I've had.
I took Mrs bigfoot and little foot on a road trip to Centerville, Tx to try out Woody's Smokehouse, we got chopped beef sandwhiches, it was ok. They have just about any kind of canned jelly you can think of.

Man it’s looking good. I’ve cooked maybe 3 or 4 dozen briskets in my lifetime but I’ve never cooked a Clod. Didn’t even know what it was until a few years ago. Yours is looking good. Post a good shot of it when you cut it open. I bet it has a killer smoke ring.

    Still waiting on those pictures....

Dang. Not a single brisket at the grocery store.

For the first couple of months after the panic started, they always had plenty of briskets at good prices.

    Grrr.

Probably grinding it up for the high dollar hamburger they are all selling right now. Wife wanted a chuck roast the other day, I told her it was $23 for a 3lb roast, she said forget it.

Kroger had a ton of them last Friday when I was there. Under $2lb and Market Street was about the same price.

If you have the area, or place to have one, might look into buying a feeder bull and feeding it out and getting it butchered.

The last one we had butchered weighed in at about 400 pounds. The next bull will be about 900 to 1000 pounds when he goes to the butcher.

Look & see if anyone has a mobile butcher set up in your area. Dude pulls up with a trailer turns on his refrigeration, sanitizes it then he kills it, then processes everything right there. Lot of proccessor can pull some skewer shit while you meat is @ his place.

Had a 2 meat plate the other day, with cobbler and drink for only $23...
Damn the price of beef is going sky high for the BBQ people..
    Sams had briskets for $86 each..about 5.80 / lb..

I’ll be laying off the brisket until this passes I guess...
