    Edited:

    I put 100 rds of .45 Colt through it today.......on a rest......accurate enough........recoil is negligible with cowboy loads.....the 4 X scope is a little more than I think it needs....probably great at 150 yards though.....the thing is heavy.......because of the ability to fire .460 S&W Mag, 454 Casull and .45 Colt.....it's a keeper......

    That place east of Waco....
Bought an almost-new M&P 2.0 Compact today. It wasn't my first choice, but the deal was too good to pass up. I was so sure that I would hate the near-sandpaper grip texture so much that I bought a grip sleeve with the gun. That opinion persisted until I pressed the trigger at the range.....

....Wow! I shot better with that M&P than with any pistol I've ever owned. Other shooters even complemented me on my groups. And the grip felt perfect....like it was anchored to my hand.

It's good to be wrong from time to time.....

Snagged this ported VP9 yesterday off of Gunbroker. I bought it on a whim since is was local at Gt Distributors. Not to mention, a lot cheaper than most people are asking locally for VP9's right now.

Also, for anyone looking for 9mm, they had a pallet of Fiochi for 229.00 per 1,000. Not great but not a ripoff for right now.

I expect a full review. I've been considering one of these.

It's very effective. Pretty wide pattern after a few feet. Out of the five tangos I had five drop out of the sky and three instakills. Two require some extra mop up, but they weren't taking off again.

The safety is terrible, I need to figure out how to remove it, or change it from auto reset after each shot.

After many deliberations, I decided to pull the trigger on the IWI Masada.

It wasn't available in red's nor shootptblank, so I had to purchase it without shooting it myself.

I currently own a p365xl and a g48, the 365xl is (for me) the best ccw I've seen up to date, the g48 is an amazing weapon but it serves the same purpose, for an extra car gun or home def gun I'd better be off with something like the G19 - enters the Masada.

If it shoots almost as well as the G19 it should be good enough. My main concern is that I won't be able to find a proper co-witness configuration for a red dot to run with it, but I decided to roll the dice on that one since I have a personal bias towards IWI.

^ that's what I've been reading online as well, about them sig suppressor sights.
What I didn't find, however, is whether using them will make co-wit or not. Or in other words - will the optic sit low enough?
(it also depends on the specific optic...)

Once I take it to the range, I'll know whether I want to "commit" to it and get the additional hardware for a proper red dot co-witness cfg, or whether I'll toss it and just get that g19 or keep my 48 and mill it for a romeo zero.
