As said, wrong, it's the politicians against society.

Cops only enforce the laws, they don't make them. Cops, even those that operate beyond their authority, are mere amateurs compared to the life-long corrupt politician.

They have a constitutional duty to refuse to enforce laws that are tyrannical. I don't see many doing that. So yes, cops too.

Put yourself in their place. I wouldn't want to be there today. The BS laws come from the top down (politicians) and the foot soldiers are given a choice, Do what we say or find another job. That's a tough choice. What happened the other day was an anomaly and not representative of the other 99.9% of the police. The media and BLM tries to say it is very common, it's not. BUT it does happen. Little Hitlers pop up everywhere.

That is a misconception, especially in Texas, where there is no oath required for the majority of LE as they are considered employees and not elected officers of government.

Law Enforcement is an agent of the government and are constitutionally provided ‘broader’ powers for the public good. Those broader powers directly erode the public’s constitutional protection from government abuse.

that's where we disagree. All police forces should be held to the same standard as elected officials. Sheriff departments are. Then again, I think governmetn monopoly on policing is a bad idea in general :D

But what about that guy selling his Colt Ar15s in the sales section for 2k? What is he going to do?

Wait for someone wanting to pay double.

Colts LE carbines are top of the line mil spec rifles made side by side with military M4s. At 750 bucks 3 months ago and maybe a grand now. Never pay extra for added parts unless its exactly what you want.

FN rifles are the same. Top of the line mil spec, thus PSA CHF uppers with the toolcraft BCG are top of the line Mil spec. Made by FN and Toolcraft. Just as good as the Giselle model linked to at 200 bucks less.

PSA Nitride rifles are M&P quality. Their classic rifles are better than average entry level rifles.

There are rifles that go beyond mil spec for extreme accuracy at longer ranges or specific pet parts groupings but the basic mil spec rifle with ammo it likes will shoot better than most people can and reliability will be outstanding.

No doubt on the Colt seller in the classifieds. I’d love to have another LE/MIL marked Colt AR, but I’m not paying double for it.

What standard I think LE should be held to and what they are held to are completely different things. Especially at the individual officer level.

I can agree with that. But, in the larger scheme of the bigger picture, the cops are just a small portion of those that violate the rights of the people, and abuse their authority. Politicians enact laws that go much further in violating the rights of the people.

    True dat.
And it comes full circle when LE enforces those unconstitutional laws.
