He forced the nursing homes to accept Covid patients, which was incredibly STUPID, when it was already known that nursing home patients were more at risk. It makes sense to provide immunity for the nursing homes, since Cuomo forced them to take patients, what we need is for people to be able to sue Cuomo for increased deaths, he has blood on his hands. Nursing home patients are 40% of the deaths, while only being 1.8% of the population!

I suppose it doesn’t matter that the Governor has no right to grant them immunity.
Coumo and NYS will have their asses sued and screwed.
If you have a NY based pension you may soon notice and very close haircut.

I spent a few miserable years living in NY when his father was governor. He learned "crooked" at the feet of the master.

NY announced a 5 cent tax increase on gasoline. Everybody was pissed. Cuomo (senior) went on TV and said that they decided against the tax and instead would get the money through "revenue enhancements" which would include jacking up the tax on bulk gas storage facilities by 5 cents. Price of gasoline went up 5 cents and everybody was pissed at the gasoline companies for passing along a tax increase to the customers. When people are that stupid, they keep electing people like Cuomo, Clinton, Schumer, etc.

My last year living there, they had a bond issue for $1 billion to clean up old, abandoned factory and waste sites. The issue failed. After the election, it came out that the state had already spent $30 million of the money from that bond issue BEFORE the election and was now struggling to figure out how to pay it off. Among the important "remediation projects", they completely revamped a major golf course near Albany where Cuomo and his buddies played. Who went to jail for that? Nobody. The Crust takes care of The Crust, and the Cuomos are definitely part of the corrupt Crust.

If the legislature passed the bill & he signed it I think it's going to hold up in court. The NH & hospitals should have immunity, especially when the state gov told the NH they had to take COVID patients.

Blanket immunity I do not agree with. Too many mistakes made all around. If someone can show that patients were exposed to positive cases when there were alternatives then immunity should be off the table.
Personally, I think Cuomo needs to be prosecuted for at least reckless endangering for every case he forced into a NH if not negligent homicide for each death.

This is the problem where winning the state election means winning one city election. I haven't done the math but I bet that whoever wins NYC becomes governor. Same issue in California, LA and San Francisco probably the same thing. If we didn't have an electoral college we would be stuck with HRC. Can happen in Texas too, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Dallas. Will be the end of freedom as we know it or at least of what is left.

There isn't a shit ton of lawyers in NYS that will be after the money.
There is a metric shit ton of lawyers to extract the money from NYS.
    The immunity will be overturned.
