You should try one of the Apachee triggers on your Savage. You can read and find order info here:

    https://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=520772

    apacheetrigger@yahoo.com

With the Apachee Trigger kit, you maintain all of the irreplaceable savage parts in their original condition. The Apachee Trigger kit does not require:

    1. Stretching, cutting or bending of the springs.
    2. Stoning of any trigger parts.
    3. Any plastic shim washer.
    4. Chopping or cutting of drill bits for new pins (which are not of the proper size or hardness for the AccuTrigger to begin with).
    5. Any tampering with the Accu blade in any way.

Instead, what the Apachee Trigger kit offers:

    1. All new replacement parts that are of the same hardness as the originals.
    2. Everything that is needed in one convenient package.
    3. Easy to follow instructions, complete with detailed pictures.
    4. The safety of the Accu blade is fully retained.
    5. Money back guarantee if your trigger pull is not reduced to under one pound.

So you can hunt and gather to find pieces, then make permanent alterations to your original, irreplaceable savage parts with no guarantee of success, or take the common sense approach. The kit eliminates the hunting and gathering process, maintains the original parts, and takes minimal skill to install. Your choice.

Interested in getting a 17HMR. What’s the best one for the money? I was leaning towards the Savage A17
Very good choice. I have an A17 with the heavy sport barrel and an A.22lr with heavy barrel. Both will shoot well under MOA at 100 yards. And the both have rotary mags like the 10/22. Butler Creek makes a 25 rnd mag for the A model that is flawless. The Savage A models also come with the Acutrigger standard. Both are a joy to shoot.

1960's High Standard Double Nine 22lr revolver. I found it in my son-in-law's gun closet, where it had been for probably 25 years and he had never shot it. So, now it is in my gun closet and I shoot it a lot. Pretty accurate and lots of fun to shoot. It is in excellent condition.

I told him I would leave to him in my will.

I’ve got a love hate with the one in the middle lol, the other two aren’t rimfire, that’s right it’s the Glock G44.

    I could've sworn i posted this...

Winchester 1906. Still needs a few parts, but i figured out the issues, since the bolt locks using a protrusion on the side of the firing pin, all it took was replacing it, though i went the extra mile and just replaced the entire bolt assembly. The carrier was just missing a small leaf spring and screw.

This rifle made around 1924 and has been in the family since. Its marked .22 short, long, or long rifle, but it does not like bulk .22lr.

My Grand Pa had one. Sitting with him on the porch one day he looked up and said "There is that hawk been getting my chickens". The Winny was standing by the door on the porch. He laid back, grabbed the Winny, took aim and shot that hawk out of the sky. It was straight overhead about 100 feet. The hawk nearly landed on the porch with us. That was the first time I shared anything positive with my Grand Pa. He shot 22 shorts most of the time.
