Glock 48

I got a Glock 48 and really like it. But it does have a woooonderful Glock Trigger. UGH. So what trigger do you use on glocks and are they reliable?

How do you like those Shield 15 rd. mags? That's what I carry in my 43X.

I had a last round ftf on one. Sent it back. They put in a 10lb. heavier spring. No charge. Perfect. The other 2 S15 mags I own have yet to miss a beat.

I put an Agency Arms trigger, Ghost 3.5 connector, and competition spring kit from the Glockstore in mine. The trigger pull is shorter and breaks cleaner, and I went with the 4.5 lbs striker spring (I think) from the spring kit. The trigger pull is now right around 4.5-5 lbs, down from around 7. I could go with a lighter spring (the kit comes with 5 or 6 springs), but I was afraid of possible misfires.

I had a Glock 48 for a couple of months. I REALLY loved it. It handled well, and I carried it for about a month.

But, something about the Glock grip angle, combined with the single stack grip... Maybe it is because I am getting older (almost 50), but it made my damn wrist hurt.

My wrist hurt the first time I took the new gun to the range. But, I just thought it was some random thing. I eventually started to notice that if I held the gun out in a shooting position, while around the house... It would make the outside of my wrist hurt. Each and every time...

I even put it away for 2 weeks, and went out of my way to not grip any gun. 2 weeks later, I picked it up and held it. And, in less than 20 seconds, the pain came back.

I didn't want to, but I had to sell it. I don't want a carry gun that I can never practice with. And, I can't practice with it if my wrist hurts form the gun.

What is crazy is that double stack Glocks don't do this to me.... But, I did do some internet searches... Wrist pain from Glocks is not that unusual for some, it seems...

Anyway, enjoy the gun. I had gotten one with Ameriglo sights, and it was a great gun.
