Someone needs to come up with a Faraday cage for phones.
Those have been a commercial reality for many, many years.

My experience with them, though, is that they kill batteries. The phone can't find a cell tower but keeps trying and thereby draining the battery. I haven't done any broad testing or read about anyone who has but in my very limited experience my cell battery that would last a day or more in standby would die in an hour if I put it in a Faraday bag. Of course, they work fine if you remember to power off your phone before putting it in the bag. That's just really inconvenient.

In other COVID news, it appears a riot is about to form at the neighborhood pool. Inside the wire is the “Come on in, the waters just fine...wear a mask if you want too” camp.

Outside the wire are the Karens chanting “follow the rules”.

The Livestream by somebody inside the wire shows threats of taking pictures, contacting the HOA board/management company, and pleas for doing the right thing so the pool can stay open.

    Wish I were kidding.

I see a business opportunity to sell the Karens plastic goblets of wine and margaritas to those inside the wire.

    Link? That could be funny.

Inside a private FB group for our neighborhood, but It’s been down since the Karens left to fix their kids lunch. I’m guessing they’ll also make their kids take a nap so they can digest the food before going swimming so they don’t drown.

I’m about to head to the bourbon repository...I’ll see what the action is like.

Here was the shot heard round the pool that kicked everything off apparently.

Isn’t there chlorine in the pool to kill germs, bacteria, and viruses? Also, isn’t the virus reduced by the ultra-violet light from sunshine?
    Yes.
    But Karen must be heard.

Remember, we can't find Clorox wipes because they work.
Nothing more than chlorine water on a towel.
Dang old pool (properly maintained) is the safest place to be.

Just kidding. We knew this was going to be the case. Nice of him to join the party.

ETA: Funny that I found that article on Ben Shapiro’s website. I like him, but he’s been a shut it down guy.
This is the sort of thing that leads me to believe that heavy rifle bullets and overpenetration might just be the cure to CV-19.....
