Would you patronize a business that prohibits open carry but allows concealed?
Would you patronize a business that prohibits any kind of carry?
I did not include an option for allowing open carry but denying concealed carry just because I don't think that combination is in existence.
I got the idea from a side topic that came up in the Coronavirus Epedemic P2 thread.
Where I live, a lot of restaurants have 30.07 signs but I personally have never laid eyes on a 30.06 sign.

I went ahead and cast the first vote. I understand that some people get (unreasonably) uncomfortable seeing a firearm on a non-LEO and can understand that a business needs to create an environment that makes everyone happy and wanting to come back.

While I disagree with 30.07 signs, I get that not everyone wants to see a pistol on some dude's hip while they're waiting for their chips and salsa or whatever. I'm ok with a request to not open-carry - a hidden firearm is still a firearm. But I won't go in if there's a 30.06, because they don't have to see my gun but I won't be restricted from carrying it.

So in essence...you've got a right to be a pearl-clutching wussy, but don't to demanding that I clutch those pearls along with you.

I did not answer the poll as I will patronize a 30.07 business.

I do not patronize if posted 30.06.

If a business put a sign that said you must have a face mask, instead of you must wear a face mask, I’d patronize that business.

If .gov said every business must post a 30.06 sign, I’d put on my Hawaiian shirt, accessorize appropriately, raise an army, and fight a war.

Any place which posts 30.06, but not 30.07, allows open carry, up until the point one is given notification, no?

My one and only place I had a run-in over OC was at a place that did that.

The .07 was posted inside the doorway, above the jamb, only visible on the way out, so not a ‘legal’ notice.

Management also explained they were 51%. That sign was posted behind the bar, about six inches above the floor; again not effective notice.

I was asked to leave about 15 mins after I arrived, and I did. The place was kind of like a Yardhouse-type business, so I was very surprised they were, in fact, a 51% location.

I don't want to make your gay wedding cake! I think any bussiness that wants to refuse service should be allowed to. I'll go even farther in saying race, religion, sexual orientation & politics SHOULD NOT BE CAUSE FOR A LAWSUIT!!

I really don’t see much difference between the “request” imposed by 30.07 and the one expressed by “no shirt, no shoes, no service”. Both involve an owner attempting to insure some/most of his customers are not offended by the appearance of other customers.

30.06 on the other hand is just wrong.

I see that as similar to a demand that you must “self police” something that the owner cannot otherwise police, almost like saying “you mustn’t come in here if you are going ‘commando’ (as to underwear)”.

I think it depends upon the store or business. Some, it a just a matter of company policies that they have to display certain types of signage.

My wife works part-time at Dollar General. They display the 30-07 signage. Company policy requires them to display that sign.

In our county, there are only a very, very few places that even display a 30-06 sign. Those places are the quicky check cashing places. Rather stupid. You would think with the business they are in, they would welcome the presence of an armed law abiding cititzen, carrying openly or concealed.

What's that old saying some people use......
    Concealed is concealed.

Not that I would ever advocate breaking any laws, neither do I advocate abdication of your right and responsibility to protect you and yours.

If I SEE a legal sign I go elsewhere.

I have yet to see one but I dont spend 30 min reading all the shit lawyers make business put on their doors and windows.

Your poll needs another choice or two.

Only place I go that doesn't allow conceal carry is gov office to get registration for my car and the hospital to see my son. I don't particularly care if they don't like open carry. I carry everyday and everywhere, with the two exceptions listed above
