The appendix holster I’m interested in has a spare mag holder and it can be orientated with bullets facing gun or away. The company recommends facing towards. Best I can tell that has to do with indexing your mag/ammo. So when you retrieve your spare mag you can put your index finger on the bullet to ensure it is fully seated in the magazine. You then have to twist your hand to insert the magazine.

If the magazine is facing away, the magazine is removed and then with an upward motion it is inserted with no further manipulation. With bullets facing away the higher part of the magazine is towards the middle of your body and not a high point. Personally that is the biggest reason, it seems like it would be more concealed.

Printing will not be allowed and I wear my shirts tucked in.

When I carry spares, I face them in a direction, that when I pull them from a carrier, my index finger is on the side that the bullet nose is. This helps aid the insertion of the mag without having to look. You can take the tip of your finger and feel the magwell to be able to guide it in. If you face your mags any other direction, this can cause issues if you do have to do a reload. Keep everything the same, as there will be no confusion if you come under stress.

In all seriousness, why not just go with a pocket .380 and just have it completely disappear in a back pocket wallet holster?

Less chance of shooting your wang off it is not pointed at it.;)

This is if you are a Right Handed shooter.
Offside carry of spare ammo ie on the left as I do bullets down and pointing foward.
Aiwb with side car mag pouch. bullets down and facing the pistol
strong side mag pouch is on the belt horizontal just in front of the pistol holster bullets towards the holster facing up.
    Does that ans your ?

I’d have to look into that. I don’t wear baggy pants so not sure if that would fit. And I already bought a G43, or two.

A ricochet off my wang may be less lethal though. A lead projectile ricocheting off steel and brass probably loses some velocity.

It’s a moot point now. The updated model does not give the option. I ordered the Tier 1 Concealment Axis Elite in OD Green with the UltiClips. Also chose the high sweat guard and went with standard capacity mag for the spare so it will sit lower and be better concealed.

Also found a coupon code online that saved me $20.

They unfortunately currently have a 20-25 day lead time.
