    Outdoor:

Cawthon Cartridge Club is a few minutes down the road, $40/day. Haven’t been there but it’s supposed to be nice. @Lost Spurs is a member.

Marksman, north of Bryan. Haven’t been there in several years. Wasn’t bad then, quiet and cheap, which I liked.

    Indoor:
Champion Firearms. 25yds indoor, cheap and easy place to shoot. Pretty centrally locates in town. They let me shoot my 9mm PCC the other month which I appreciated.

I'll vote for CCC south of college station.

Sweet rimfire range set up like a full size PRS range. Probably 20 different shooting positions / targets and steel out a hundred yards or so (Not sure). No cover.

100 yard zero berm. No set benches or shooting positions. Had my boys set up like 15 yards from the berm. No cover. Maybe 50 to 75 yards wide.

Handfull of pistol bays some with steel some with stands. Some with cover.

100 yard zero range with a lone shooting bench. Maybe 50 to 75 yards wide. No cover. I was there a couple weeks ago and set up my easy up over the shooting bench.

Big range (actually 2 of them) with probably 30 or so shooting positions out to 1100. Nice cover with solid benches, cars, fences, rocks, tires, them funny looking walls with holes and steps. Culverts and a swinging table. Plenty of spots for prone. There is even a tree with a ladder going to it. Not sure if you can shoot from it but it is on the line.

I have been several times on weekends. I have ran into several other shooters at the big range that have all seemed like cool cats. Offering help and answering questions.

In general, no RSO's at the range. I have met the owner of the property and chatted with him for a good spell. He also owns a shaving supply store on site with fine goods. The feller that works there the last couple weekends I was there would swing by and check in and offered his phone number if I needed anything. Basic rule is if you do dumb shit you are gone, along with all the other range rules you would expect.

I have not been to any local indoor ranges. Probably never will. After 20 years of shooting at ranges they terrify me for more reasons than I can remember. Only outdoor with a preference for private.

That sounds like it's worth the trip and fee. I'll have to keep this in mind.
