My wife, who had never been to 6th street wanted to stop and shop there. I warned her before we stopped. She was in shock at the crazy homeless people and their camps. She doesn't want to ever stop there again lol.

I do not know if the wife is liberal as off hand i don't recall you posting her politics, but this is a cure for liberalism is let them see it.

I was in Austin last week and saw the homeless setting up tents on the verge by the overpasses. In over 45 years of visiting and passin through Austin, I had never seen that before.

I also noted that the hills north of Austin are building up a lot. The lack of public transportation, the difficulty in hiking (or pushing a shopping cart) up, and limited/no sidewalks, will probably keep the homeless out. As someone pointed out to me before, there are two Austins - the Weird, utopia-like, Austin west of I-35 and the poverty-stricken, "over" policed, east of i-35.

That "over" policed east of I 35 has now become the gentrified home of the upscale downtown high tech workers.

I've only read page 1, but please give, give generously to the homeless.

Buy them booze, heroin, oxycontin, meth, fentanyl, weed, cans of paint they can huff, cuz...sob, because I luv them. I know, I know you do too...do invite them into your home, feed them. Offer your daughters in the hand of...hanging out so they can do drugs together. What could be more blissful as a parent?

Yes, yes, by gawd defend the homeless and vote, vote for marxism, I love nancy pelosi and the chuckster. I do and won't settle for less...you, you, gdamitt, normals, I hate you....

    Down with everything...

Oh wait, dammit, I forgot: I'm white and filled with guilt and regret. I was born handi-abled with this white disease.

May I offer this .556 Nato round as a token of what I may give you...?

Unfortunate. Things like these spread like cancer. What started in Berkeley/San Fran in the 60’s is now malignant all over the surrounding area.

How long has Austin been like this? Their mantra was to keep the place weird.

Pretty much. Austin use to pride itself on being "weird" and the music capital of Texas. Now it's just another liberal city like many of the others. Sad.
