if you could sit down with the gun and ammo manufacturers and offer input on either new guns you would like to see, or offered in calibers that they never did, or a cartridge idea you would like to see in production. what would it be?

i'd like to see Marlin bring back the Camp Carbine, in some newer pistol cartridges. like the 357 Sig, or the 10mm as well as the original 9mm and 45 acp.

i'd like to see a cartridge based off the 308 Winchester, necked down to a 25 caliber. more like a shorter 257 Roberts cartridge. something that fit a short action rifle.

i'd like to see the Marlin X7 series return, and add some magnum calibers like the 300 W.M. and the 7mm R.M. to the line-up.

i'd love to see Ruger bring out their SR1911 in 38 Super. or even Springfield Armory bringing one out as well. i'd probably buy one in a heartbeat!

those are some of my ideas.

A pistol I'd like to see is a take off of the Bersa TPR9C/UC9Pro, with the simple takedown, in addition to a polymer type frame that is about 3/16" thinner in the grip, with a 15+1 9mm capacity, a trigger similar to a 1911, along with a decocker/frame mounted thumb safety. Rear claw type, adjustable sight for use in one handed manipulations with bright green front night sight, and match grade barrel and internal components coated to resist rust and abuse.

    One of many, many wants...

They already made a single shot .50 BMG pistol. Reloading it was faster than clearing a jammed 1911.

    I wouldn't know, I have never seen a 1911 jam.

Seen plenty of plastic fantastics jamming at the range, though.

I actually wrote to Ruger a couple times about bringing back the Police Carbine. Had on of the old ones paired with a P-95. Sold them as a couple. Wished I had not done that. Bought a new model and paired it with my Glock 19X.

I also want a Marlin Camp 45 to go with my Kimber.

    That place east of Waco....
I'd like to see a FN P-90 in 9mm with the same magazine setup. I'd also like a Ruger Charger in .45ACP that uses Glock 21 mags. Ruger could also make a Single-Six Hunter and GP100 in 5.7 FN.

I'd like an 1873 style lever action in 22LR and with the loading port on the receiver side (like is normal for centerfire chambered) instead of the hokie magazine tube port out near the muzzle.

It's all grins and giggles until you pull the trigger!
Had someone I met at old “Crazy” Richard’s Hill Country Rifle Range many years ago let me shoot his .600 NE Holland &Holland double. “Elephant loads” as he put it. He asked if I wanted something a little tamer, and I declined ;) I stated I would probably never shoot a six figure rifle again and I wanted to experience the thump.
Two shots, 50 yards and the holes were side by side dead center.

Recoil was not tame by any stretch of the imagination , but I was standing and know how to shoot the big stuff.

My Ruger #3 in 45-70 bit me harder when I was sighting in with my dinosaur killer home rolled rounds( sitting and shooting off sandbag)
