Supposedly they only took the two weapons they were holding.
I'm banking on them having more, at least I hope so.
From all I've read, they had a warrant for the two weapons. They got the AR at the home and the pistol she was waving was with their attorney.
Have also read that they have hired security for their home...supposedly some Texas boys :)

Yep, that's what I read in the OPs link, too...

I, likewise, can’t understand how the legal system can violate the Fourth Amendment of the Constitution. Were they operating under a Missouri ‘Red Flag’ law?

Too bad they didn’t have the foresight to clandestinely temporarily give their weapons to a brother or sister or their son (or whoever...trusted friend, etc.). Potential lesson learned here!

Also, I’m doubtful they may have had any other firearms. They were, after all, lawyers and liberal democrats who supported BLM. (How deliciously ironic is that?)

Popper says they’ve been charged with improper display of weapons. I guess that’s some kind of “brandishing” statute(?). But yes, how would that just not be a ticket? What gave the right for confiscation (apparently without issuing a citation)?

I know in Texas that kind of thing doesn’t exist any longer (with our open carry law for sidearms & never did exist, for long guns) especially if you’re on your own property.

I agree with oldag, I hope they elect to rip the city a new one! Don’t know if they will, but since they are lawyers and have themselves “lawyered up” I’m sure they can figure out some angle to cost the city some serious money for the city’s mi$take$.

They should take this all the way to the Supreme Court! Oh wait...
Depends on how Roberts ruled in the last case. If he went for the liberals last case, the next one will be upholding the Constitution. If he went for the Constitution in the last decision, he will go with the liberals this time.
