So, someone breaks the law by painting racial graffiti on the streets and that's ok, but when someone paints over it that's a hate crime? Makes perfect sense to me.

Doesn't appear to be the case

Dunno what's true, but there's a claim in the article that the original street painting was done with a permit from the city, which means it's not graffiti, but an approved thing.

However, charging them with a hate crime is probably just to scare them. First, they were chanting, "All Lives Matter" -- hardly a hateful slogan. Second, they could argue they were unaware of the permit, and were performing a civic service by restoring the street.
But, we all know how many brainwashed morons are running around in CA, and by doing this stupid act, the couple has now placed their freedom in the hands of those morons. Also, the couple will have wasted X thousand dollars on lawyers and legal fees before this is all over.

So they'll have to get all weepy at their trial, be contrite, and hope that the morons are merciful. Remember, the jury might well be full of brainwashed progressives and hate-filled BLM racists.

Remember what we've discussed -- the left is trying to rattle your cage. If you react without using your brain, you're going to end up like this couple.

For any of you guys that dug deeper and watched the full video, did it amaze you that the "WHITE LIVES MATTER" statement that was painted elsewhere in the same city (Martinez), and city crews were quick to cover it up? I didn't say anything about permits for this one, but still. Talk about a double standard. So let me get this straight, this yellow display of BLM shutting off an entire block is considered a mural to be protected, but something similar gets done elsewhere and it is quickly removed using city funds and labeled graffiti??? The irony. I think Californians have crossed the point of no return. These people are insane.

It is sad to see so many of them coming here to Texas. They drop a turd in their bed, won't sleep in it, or try to clean it up, and they come here?? lol.

First, they were chanting, "All Lives Matter" -- hardly a hateful slogan.

It's only "hardly a hateful slogan" to those of us who aren't indoctrinated with the newspeak the left demands. I've been informed quite authoritatively that what "all lives matter" supposedly "really means" is "black lives don't matter". Because somehow they're not part of "all" or something. Because badspeak is doubleplus ungood and is thoughtcrime.

First of all it ain't a f***ing MURAL, as every MSM outlet has called it. It's GRAFFITI.

So somebody painted different graffiti over your graffiti? You've got no right to complain. Shouldn't have been there in the first place.

What did they change it to? All Lives Matter. What's wrong with that? How is that possibly construed as hateful or threatening?? It's not. Again, STFU.

Finally, BLM is a MARXIST group which is 100% anti-American. They should be shut down, not financed.

I'm so sick of this crap. It's time people started pushing back - and I mean seriously pushing.
