    I call bullshit propaganda.

The unidentified 30-year-old man died at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, according to the hospital’s top doctor, Jane Appleby.

“Just before the person died they looked at the nurse and they said, ‘I think I made a mistake. I thought it was a hoax but it's not,” she said, according to the station.

    oldag,

    With good reason.

    Don't wear a mask.

Wear a mask or you'll be punished by your all loving government.

If you don't wear a mask you'll help spread 'herd' immunity.

If you wear a mask, you'll help prevent others from contracting the rona.

This medicine will help stop the rona.

No, it won't and it's actually harmful.

Plus, the bs numbers of the rona victims.

Kill the economy it'll save us....and on and on and on...

You say you're doubtful about the various lies regarding the rona?

Yeah he said this as he was gasping for air, with his last dying breath:

“I think I made a mistake. I thought it was a hoax but it's not.”

    Totally believable.

I’m pretty sure he also said “Casual gatherings spread the virus, not mass protesting, rioting and looting. Wear a mask. Black lives matter.”

I dunno Willis, s'thin stinks here. I don't see anywhere that the cause of death was the flu.
Only reason that I am being, ahem, heasitant in buying totally into this apparently terrible incident is because I read just last night that in order to properly prescribe a true covid death, the patient merely has to test positive for the flu, even if he dies of a heart attack. SO, your ticker gives out from making whoopie with your young bride, and if you test positive for the flu, OR if you have been around ANYBODY in the last 14 days that MAY HAVE been around anyone that tested positive, it is a confirmed covid death.
And no, I didn't make that up, that is what they are telling our medical staff. Look it up

    Semantics.

To a degree. A parable is designed to teach a moral truth. The quoted doc is trying to convey their moral truth by using the parable and sees that as nobly fictionalizing a multitude of things that have most likely occurred in the hospital.

I expect professionals to be honest; fictionalizing accounts and hiding them behind anonymity undercuts trustworthiness. The doc may believe they have the best intentions, but as you and I know rationalizing yourself to tell a lie...which is what fiction is...is the path to hell.
