I know. Here’s the alternative: have the local medical authorities petition the court the order quarantine and use the ankle monitor.

    Don’t need to arrest people.

Hopefully this wouldn't even need to be done, but you know there are people which don't care.
Of course, quarantine is only 2 weeks, and they would need to show a prior disregard for others safety first, so it's pretty much a mute point.

    100% agree.
Never said I was for the law, just asking the question.
And when I read "sick", I meant knowingly having coronavirus.
There is no test that isolates COVID19...just antibodies which could be from having influenza. Herd immunity is the only way to get over this unless you want someone injecting some magical inoculation into your blood stream...no thank you.

Rex Fields, the top elected official in Eastland County, said Abbott’s option for counties with low coronavirus case counts “gives people some personal freedom.”

I'm sooo glad that King Abbott has elected to "give people some personal freedom" - because its his discretion to "give" anyone "freedom" - me thinks that Abbott has forgotten the definition of "freedom"

Once a “tiny tyrant” gets a taste of power they can’t stop. Abbott may think he’s doing the right thing but he’s not. He lost a lot of votes...

Went into our local city hall to pay the water bill today and was surprised to see no one wearing a mask. Asked the clerk at the Utilities window and she said that the County was not going to enforce the order so the City will not either. Good news for me since this little town makes its budget with traffic citations so glad they are hands off on the masks.

Of course, this means we are all going to die!
    Eventually
