It will also be interesting to see the total number of deaths from all causes. If CCP virus was a big deal then that number should be noticeably higher than average of past years.
And therein lies the problem. Does anyone really believe that deaths from flu/pneumonia have not been counted as Covid causes? Hell, even the local news doesn't say that someone died "of Covid". They say "a Covid-related death". It's in the accounting that went into the data itself. If it's lies, how will they ever sort that out?

I think he's meaning if there is a sharp decrease in deaths from other causes, and a huge increase in CV19 related deaths, we are going to know it was all bullshit and lies.

Ah, makes sense. Thanks for pointing that out.
To be a devil's advocate, what if there's a noticeable drop in ALL other sources of death and a big increase from Covid 19? Asking for 330 million friends.
    Who makes the call?

Respectfully, I think he's a money grabbing quack. That is just a personal opinion and observations based on his posts in regards to me. Start with my post #1549 on this thread, then his first post in reply post #1553.

He's just HKS Lite! I wouldn't let either one of them to ever practice medicine on me.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions. These are simply mine, and mine alone.

He’s been on this forum for 12 years. For whatever disagreements I may have with him on this topic he is not a shit eating troll.

You have no idea what your talking about.

Disagree with him all you want. I do too. But knock off he personal attacks.

Exatly. After 26 years of working in the medical field (mostly ER) this is the first “pandemic“ that the hospitals actually got less busy and had to furlough employees. I spent a week off at one point. If you name any other outbreak you can think of they all set records for hospital patient numbers.

My lady has been on the covid floor for over two weeks including tonight and the next two nights. It’s steady but no one is dying and most patients are in and out. It’s more trauma based mind control freaking people out...the placebo effect. Not to mention lots of surgeries were put on hold during the last few months and now patients are stacked up, getting tested and are case positives because they have the antibodies. Nothing to see here but another strain of the cold which is a corona virus. Doctors (the good ones) aren’t buying the hype anymore. Yes, people are getting sick but the mortality rate is what we should look at...we have to remember the population of Texas is almost 30 million and take that into account when these fear mongers put out case positive spikes...if you aren’t a math whiz there are percentage calculator websites you plug numbers into. I did it for you.

Here’s the current percentage of cases per Texas population
258658 (total COVID-19 cases to date) is 0.86507692307692% of 29900000 (Texas estimated population).

Here’s our current percentage of deaths per Texas population
3192 (total COVID-19 deaths to date) is 0.010675585284281% of 29900000.

I think I’ll be more cautious driving to and from work and concentrate on not choking on my lunch or drowning in my glass of water...the masktards can keep the face diapers and shutdowns...I’ll keep my freedom.

Wearing a mask doesn’t hurt most people. Here’s the cognitive disconnect. Voluntary vs compulsory, where compulsory occurred outside of the legislative process. Where the officials are making it a criminal act to disobey, yet failed to do nothing when it came to violent criminal behavior just six short weeks ago.

Did you champion and applaud Abbot when he closed your facility to anything but COVID patients back in March/April? How about if he dropped those same restrictions right back on your facility and criminalized any provider who violated the order?

    Same concept.

Lots of things are rule of law without “legislative process”. I try not to get worked up over all of them. But honestly, I feel the whole mask wearing should be based on social pressure, rather than from threat of fine or force.

Looking back, the closure seems silly, as we had so few COVID patients. If he dropped those restrictions back on the hospital, I’d have to settle in for another round of firings, but probably wouldn’t be as bad as it seems the patients are back in the hospital. The TMB can already suspend your license if they find your behavior inappropriate.

Signs, signs, everywhere a sign. Do this, do that....I'm the type of person that I don't care what ya do as long as you don't bother me or mine. I don't believe the numbers the, so called, experts are saying. There are more people not dying from the virus than dying. Most have underlying medical conditions that they died from and not from the covid but we were told the covid is what they died from, which was false. I do believe what...

Time out there, chief. Social pressure? That's a dangerous mindset.

Social pressure means a bunch of liberals acting on emotion and empathy versus facts and common sense. Abbott and all these other leaders have made a huge over reach and forgotten that they are PUBLIC SERVANTS, not tyrants that can all of a sudden pass executive orders and totally trample on “we the people’s” constitutional rights. It backfired on them and they will now be tossed in the burn pile along with all the others that Trump allowed to show their true colors. I guess it can be considered draining the swamp!

I have to wonder how things would be if the nation wasn't polarized to begin with. It seems that officials are kowtowing to the narrative to quell a further polarization, but is in fact having the opposite effect. No matter the seriousness of this virus, you can't say that one portion of the population is okay to disregard safeguards, while threatening the freedom of the other portions and expect everyone to go along with it. I'm tired of the games being played, and I have to believe I'm not the only one.
