    Out here by the lake!
    baboon,

PLANO must have "gone down hill" BAD, as my old PLANO flyrod case was "backed over" by an F350/one ton truck about 4 years ago & neither the case nor the 2 flyrods inside were damaged.

Could be they are better known for tackle boxes & sold cases! Funny thing was years ago walking the dog early before work I found a gun case on the curb, it was cracked too.

I like it a lot. Made in USA, Lifetime warranty, made well, plenty of padding and pockets, shipped QUICK!

    baboon,

COULD BE. = over the years I've had 3-4 PLANO rod cases & I was PLEASED with them all BUT have never had a GUN CASE by that company.
(My huge saltwater reels other misc. box is also a Plano product.= It is so heavy that it's NOT fun to carry about.)

I wonder if they're trying to "trade on their name" NOW.

    yours, satx

I have found enough US-made hard & soft cases for ALL of my scoped Remington Model 760 rifles/carbines at GOODWILL STORES & the SALVATION ARMY FAMILY STORES
I couldn't agree more. I'm always on the lookout for Kalispel cases in places like that. I now have two and I would have never been able to afford such an extravagance if it weren't for second-hand shops of various sorts. And you can't get more US-made than a factory established, run, and staffed by a Native American tribe. :)

Too bad they're out of business... :(
