    Never had the flu.
Had a "flu shot" a time or two.
I live with a constant sinus condition.
Pisses me off cuz I can't be a sniper.
The sneezes are audible for miles.

I guess I'll shoot the commies in the face. Since they'll be looking right at me.

I refuse to wear a mask as political gesture of defiance, the lies we have been told, and my belief that they don't work.

Too much overstepping of authority that come in the forms of "orders" pisses me off to no end. This is still America!

That and I have seen way too much hyprocrisy over the last several months. People not allowed to assemble for worship, but "protesters" are allowed to riot and loot out cities. I could probably cite other examples, but most of you know the story already.

Democrats think its okay to release prisoners, because of CV19, but think its right to jail people who defy their
    orders" about CV19! Unfuckingneleivable!

IMO, You apply whatever name suits the cause, communism, facsism, totalatarism or whatever, but that isn't what this country is. This is America, land of the free, and home of the brave.

The founding fathers would be rolling over in their graves if they knew what was going on in this country right now. I also think they would be ashamed of how some people are acting.

    Maybe.

They’re probably be more concerned with the antifa types than mask requirements though.

Funny how while everyone is arguing about a mask statues are still falling and churches are getting burned without being noticed. Imagine all the juicy leftist bullshit that will slip through Congress without the least resistance. Hell, you’ll be wondering why you got a mail in voting ballet while walking back from the mail box defiantly not wearing a mask.

    I think we’ve been distracted.

I know it's a joke but the communism thing is a separate issue. Forcing healthy people to wear masks at the barrel of gun is totalitarianism and shouldn't happen.

Refusing to wear a mask to make a political point also seems kinda silly to me. Wearing a mask seems like a reasonable suggestion that could help you and is very unlikely to hurt most of us. So refusing to wear a mask is taking a chance with your own health just to make a political point that has zero chance of changing a politician's mind.

If a business asks you to wear a mask and you refuse you should be trespassed off the property. I really don't like people trying to assert "muh rites" over a private entity. Vote with your dollars but don't make a scene. Making a scene is no different than the Karens and their scenes.

As a side note, since Abbott said no one can/should go to jail for refusing to wear a mask, why even pay the fine? If they can't put you in jail then I'm pretty sure they can't use deadly force to enforce the rules. What would happen if you didn't pay the fine? What if a business refuses to pay a fine levied by the county?

ETA: If I don't require masks in my office I can be shut down. Sure, I can die on that hill and fight it out with the state but I'm not inclined to do that unless a lot of other doctors want to join me.
It's the politics of the situation. At the height of the outbreak we were told that we don't need masks, yet when there's a smaller spike, everyone needs to wear a mask.

We were told social distancing and small groups can only be allowed, yet protesting (as long as it's deemed righteous) and rioting in large groups is fine.

We are told that being outside in the sunshine helps kill the virus, then told that we must stay indoors.

If you have the CDC, WHO and government caught in flat out lies, how are people supposed to believe these entities when they are truthful? Had they been truthful from the start I might not be the skeptic I am today.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts as well.

Michigan is being lauded in the news due to their lockdown and rabid mask enforcement saving lives.

After 7 months, Smith County has had 8 deaths from the virus (or with the virus). Not bad for a population of 239,000 although all the local media in Tyler wants to talk about is “cases”. The death toll had been at 7 for almost two months so there is definitely no spike.

    The victims were 95, 91, 87, 78, 74, 68, 66 and 56.

Not exactly end of days numbers but there are still thousands of people here afraid to leave their homes where they have CNN on 12 hours a day.

Sent Herr Abbott another message today asking him to focus on the counties where the real numbers are and to leave the other 90% of the state alone other than muzzling the local elected officials who have delusions of grandeur.
