You know Sonic sold out too. Same company that owns BWW & Arby’s. They all going by way of conglomerates

That may be true, but many of them are still franchises and privately owned. A guy I went to school with went to work at Sonic not long after graduation. He worked his way up, and now owns three Sonic franchises.

As long as they don't mess with the food, or drag silly politics into things, I'll continue eating there.

Mayo on a burger is well.................Canadian or happy....I have to watch what I say around here because some people are easily offended. Lot of non Texas transplants here.......go back to Kali people.
Lol. I'm a multi-generational Texan and think a tad bit of mayo makes a better burger. Sorry.

Mayo is gross no matter the application, hard pass.

Not a fan of any condiment on a burger really, but if I have to I'll put A1 on it, sometimes ketchup - usually order a burger dry. If it *needs* a sauce, someone done screwed up and cooked it into a hockey puck. Between the meat's juices plus those of the tomato, pickle, onion, and a good cheese, you don't need some nasty sauce to mess with the flavor. Maybe the flavorless, cardboard texture of a McDonald's burger. My favorite fast food chain is Carl's Jr / Hardee's (same place, different regional names)

As for hotdogs - I'll do ketchup or BBQ sauce. I like dill pickles and onions with mine, or a good beanless chili and top with cheddar cheese and onions.

Since we need more division over food stuff... the proper side dish to a burger or hot dog - french fries, Jo-Jo's (tater wedges), tater tots, or onion rings. Sub fights - fries - skin on & fried, peeled, or battered & seasoned? Crinkle cut, waffle cut, shoestring, Julien? Onion rings - beer batter, non-beer batter, or panko crumb coated?

A little mayo and a lot more mustard on a ham and cheese sandwich is good, plus covered in pepper. Can't have deviled eggs without mustard mixed with mayo. Mustard potatoe salad not mayo salad. And that's all I got to say about that.

I remember Whataburger best for eating late at night or after drinking. Breakfast before and after 11 am/pm, gotta love the honey BBQ chicken strip sandwich.

Several years ago, I tried their limited A1 burger. Nope. Never again! I love Whataburger, but that was just nasty! I'll stick with the tried and true regular cheeseburger and fries.

The wife had some errands to run in town this afternoon, and knew I would be mowing and weedeating most of the day, so she stopped at Sonic and brought me a double cheeseburger, fries and a Route 44 cherry coke for dinner!

Y’all are bitching about mayo on a burger and there’s the other thread where people are applauding shit like A1 and Cocktail sauce on a good steak.

This is a fvcked up world; time to burn it to the ground.
