Thank you all for the warm welcome!
    Howdy and welcome to TGT.
I was stationed in San Diego, did some time on the USS Elliot DD967.
I was also one of the last companies to graduate from San Diego boot camp ....December of 93'
I was at North Island before here. I definitely miss the weather and the ability to drive to the beach, mountains, or desert on the same day, but I do not miss the people or politics.

Thank you for your service - what was your rate? I wish I was in your Navy. My dad also graduated out of SD ('84) and he told me stories that would land people in the brig nowadays! Times have changed!

    Welcome back.
    Welcome to the forum.

Thank you for the welcome and your support!

Welcome back, I can feel your pain coming from Kommifornia.
Thanks. It's a relief to be in a free state and not worry about breaking stupid, unconstitutional laws that were often passed at zero dark thirty so no one knew and instantly become a felon overnight.

Congrats on the good move. Texas is trending left but is a long way from CA.
Thanks. I've experienced the leftward trend and my wife notices it at work, but you are correct, it's a long way from CA. At least you'll have one more red vote (see below)!

Glad you found your way back. Hurry up and register to vote!
Happy to find my way back. It was a painful out there on the 2A front.. on all fronts, really. I'm maintaining my FL residency... swing state vote! My wife became a Texan, though. She will definitely be voting (don't worry, she won't "California" Texas ;]).
Hello from NRH and thank you for your service :usflag:

I was a BM3 when i got out. I was getting out about the time they were letting woman on combatant ships. I couldn't image a ship full of dudes & only a couple dozen woman on board.
I heard plenty of stories of married woman on Tenders going out for West Pac & come back 3 months pregnant.

Im sure the fleet is wayyyy different than when i was in.

BM! You and the rest of the BMs definitely have my gratitude.

Still happening today. Single and married. The best part is when multiple dudes contract the same unique 'gift' that keeps on giving!

Welcome from an old squid that did a hitch on the 483 Boat.

    SS-483? Thanks for your service!

Welcome back, and to TGT as well.
Thank you - glad to be back and happy to be here!
