That's odd. I only see one person deleting their own posts. If someone permanently deletes, I won't be able to see it. ("Delete" and "Permanently Delete" are two different things.)

    I'll kick this one upstairs.

Why do some have an option to delete an entire post, while others don't?

Evidently some see a "delete" button while others dont?

Possibly related: when reading some threads, I get a "Go to First Unread" button, which is quite handy. Yet sometimes when I could use it, it's not there.

I currently just delete the text, and replace with a dot/period.
    But the post remains.

    Me too!!!

Maybe you'll have better luck getting an answer than I did.

I still think it's based on when users joined and the permissions their account were granted at the time.

He's new too, so I wouldn't think it's some permission left over from some other time like @SQLGeek mentioned above.

popsgarland being able to do it kind of blows that theory for me. Unless there was a certain time period when new members weren't granted the permission.

Another hunch, I wonder if "Supporting Members" have the permission turned off for some reason?
