    OK good to know. Thanks!

My sister in TX always laughs when I tell her I bring a 10mm pistol just in case I see a hog. She says they've torn up her yard before but hasn't seen one for a while. I am hoping not to see any ever.

It's no joke. They killed a woman out this way a year or two ago.

Jiminy Cricket. I'll make sure to pack some hog busting pills (220 gr hard cast) just in case.

Seems like Texas is GTG. I'll bring one plate carrier, not two.

My advice is to make sure your tank is full in Tucson so you dont need to stop in the cesspool known as New Mexico. My son just made the I-10/I-20 drive last week with no problems other than the mask issues noted.
I don't mind stopping in Deming to eat at Irma's,and then going through until I hit Van Horn and then stopping at Ozona for the night.

My old MC group just canceled a planned August weekend in NM because of the requirement for out-of-staters to quarantine for the 1st 2 weeks in NM. YMMV

what about those just driving thru without stopping? We're planning on driving across the extreme NE corner when we move, passing thru Raton, NM. I don't think we'll be in NM for more than a couple hours.

College station seems ok for now. Normal mask crap in stores but the town is doing fine.

On a serious note, make sure you understand the Texas concealed carry and open carry regulations along with 51% establishments and the differences that apply across the board.

Also, knowing the details of the Motorist Protection Act are important to know.

If you have a license to carry or equivalent, check reciprocity along the route and in TX and make your decisions informed decisions, because it’ll suck to go to jail over something that’s legal in your record of domicile but isn’t here.

I drive between NM and TX every day for work.....no problems, just bring a mask. The crew I work with are mostly from AZ. They drive from TX thru NM and home to AZ every two to three weeks.....no problems as of last weekend.

Thanks for that! I forgot about the 51% sign and I'll be sure to look out for it.

This has probably been asked 1000 times, sorry, but is M855 illegal in TX?
