In April or May, the HEB in Abilene had a security guard at the entrance. If a person was not wearing a mask, they where turned away. There were not any problems, but then again, they did have an armed security guard on duty as well.

However, I should not have to explain why I am wearing a mask. I believe I will take a page from the response given by a nurse. She told a nosey parker when questioned about the need for a mask "The mask is not to protect me but rather to protect you." She then coughed and the parker ran off.

Not really. Choice is one thing. Propping up .gov diktat is entirely different.

I don’t believe that EOs after May 1st are constitutional, but I don’t care if somebody makes their own decision.

That doesn’t rubber stamp telling other man what to do, though.
Yet one more idiot saying the value of coughing on another. He’s a fucking lemming. And a muppet. Prooogandist. Dickhole. Cuntstacular cocksucker. Just to name a few

We also may have two sets of reasons for requiring masks. Those trying to dictate laws and rules to others, such as these "orders" which some of us are questioning their legality and authority.

Then there are companies that are requiring it as manner of policy to enter their establishments.

I never wore a mask until recently. Our family is dealing with my mother. She’s 80 & just got home from 3 1/2 weeks in 2 different hospitals (we weren’t allowed to see her the entire time) as a group of 5 (us taking care of her) made the decision to go by the most current recommendations & that includes wearing a mask. My sister & I are in moms “bubble” so to speak so we don’t wear a mask around her. My 2 nieces who are also helping have chosen to wear a mask when they are in proximity to us. I don’t know if we need to do it or not but for now we will wear a mask when required. As a group we had a very good discussion and the only input I really had was a general observation. We shouldn’t ever get involved with anyone else’s choice to wear or not. I empathize on us just worrying about us an no one else. I only asked if they didn’t feel comfortable in any given situation just keep your mouth shut and remove yourself from the situation. All the girls agreed. For me and my sis, we’re currently very low risk as far as any outside exposure. Like I told the girls if mom gets & dies from Covid let’s just make sure we made the effort to reduce the risk. As much as I doubt all of this shit I’m not willing to risk it under these circumstances.

I don't think anyone believes that the vulnerable and those caring for the vulnerable should not take precautions as they see fit.

Some of us just don't believe the overwhelming majority who are not vulnerable should have the freedom to choose our risk taken away. Or that the country should be shut down.

Let the vulnerable self isolate and take precautions. Let the rest of the country get on with life.

You mean something as simple as what’s been done for millennia? How dare you!?!?!? If you’re “old” take care of yourself. If you’re not, STFU and get off the guv tit, and go to work

Huh? So you are in the mask camp or for freedom? I cannot tell from your response.

    Out here by the lake!
Not to rain on the parade, but if you were to throat grab someone for yelling at you or a loved one you would go to jail, not the person doing the yelling. Someone else could even legally shoot you dead if they see you escalate a verbal confrontation to a throat grab. Just something to keep in mind.
Its all about revenue generation. Snowflake instigator POS still lives at home with mom, only money is from protesting. Working guy tired of all this shit has a regular paycheck. Working guy can't sit it out in jail with a bunch of revolutionary's. He will hire the lawyer & the courts get paid as do the parking lot attendent & system works!
