Took a Texas (Dripping Springs) family of 5, staying at the VRBO a couple of houses down, for a boat ride last evening. Two sons in college (Texas Tech and UT) and a daughter still in HS.

He's an Aggie and she's from San Antone.

While our friends in Arkansas are good folks, there is something about True Texans that is good for the soul in these times, and a reaffirmation of the good in this country.

Long live a solid red Texas ...

Went to our local walmart ( suck mart )yesterday.
First thing I learned was only one entrance is now opened and a mask required.

Entrance resembled cattle pens with WM employees herding masked people through chutes and pens.

It was like Orwell’s 1984. I do not know if I will ever go back.
It was that bad.

Texarkana - Across The Border

Good morning everyone, hope you all have a grand day. The mongrel Skye Knucklehead and I had a leisurely 3.65 mile walk this morning. Kind of nice to get in a walk like that with this somewhat cooler weather but that will be short lived - temps going back up after tomorrow so we will being going back to a 2 mile or so morning walk while the higher temps prevail.
