So this thread got me curious and I started looking at who produces .40 S&W pistols still.
That market segment is thinning out big time. Ruger and CZ hardly make any at all. The only one CZ makes is their new DX gun.
Yep. 10mm was almost dead once upon a time too.
And .327 Federal Magnum was the cats pajamas.
The .327 would be more popular if it was chambered in more choices of guns.
It used to be. Charter Arms and S&W both had one. Ruger and Henry seem to be the only ones carrying the cartridge now.
Once I had a cop tell me how he refuses to carry 9 mm because he unloaded a mag on an attacking dog and it didn't do a thing. But he'll carry a 40 because it dropped another dog in one shot. What I heard is "I can't hit the broad side of a barn".How fickle the gun market is.
I remember when it was the new hotness.
Now? It’s like the caliber gives you Covid or something.

I took my G45 mos out for its first range trip this weekend. I traditionally dont like glocks, but this one was niceGot the gun from work today. G23 along with 3 13rd mags. I put a few mags (just under 100 rds) through it and I have to say, I like it. Quite a bit actually. It turns out that I can shoot pretty damn good with one. The trigger is better than I had expected. It's not great, but it's not terrible either. It definitely does the job. I don't care for the finger groove. They don't fit my hand very well. I imagine the grooves were meant for those with little girly hands. I don't know what gen of Glock this is since it's not labeled, though I'd guess it's a Gen 3. I'll probably get a Gen 5 since they fixed that groove issue on it.
The gun also gave me a very minor case of slide bite. My hands are a little meaty on the top side, and I shoot with a pretty high grip, so that's probably why it did that. A lot of guns give me hammer bite, so I just kind of have to live with that sort of thing. It's a minor annoyance at best.
So, yep. I really want a G45 MOS now.
