Just in case you just got here we were at one time an independent country. History can repeat.
I've probably been here longer than you have...but it's still ridiculous to think Texas will ever be an independent country. Why not spend your time on something more realistic than that to try to make things better in Texas ?

I agree with this . We need to voice our sincere concerns on the right set of ears that will listen not just give us lip service.
What's your point? Why not ask "How's has it benefited Texas to have a fed free electrical grid all the x years prior to last weeks fubar grid crap?"
ETA: Texas did not "try" to go it alone. We did. Up until last week was working pretty good. And it'll work good again. Corrections might be made to prevent last week - might not but won't be no Fed ****'as telling us how to do it!

Shoot for the moon land among the stars. If we can free ourselves of the federal chains wonderful. If we can't but we make progress towards a lights handed federal system as it was intended to be, well OK then.

Green failed, not so much Texas' grid. The feds have been pushing green, Texas bit and it works great most of the time but in any huge storm, hurricane or once in 150y arctic blasts losing power for days at a time isn't unexpected even if it was preventable here by bringing mothballed plants into service sooner.
Without the feds hampering what Texas feels is the best choice, we could build a couple of nuclear plants and destroy the eye-sore wind mills and sell power to our neighbors, along with our oil and other resources.

Right, the only parts of our grid that failed, was those that were hybrid or "green". In my area, we have 3 coal powered power plants and we didn't loose power once during this storm.
Agreed.. notice he says "TEXAS" INSTEAD OF "WE" ALSO HE SAYS "YOU" INSTEAD OF "US". THIS FOOL DOESN'T EVEN LIVE IN TEXAS.. HE'S A TEXAS WANNABE.. TROLL.
So, I don't know if this has been posted already. I also don't know if this is really different than a "sanctuary county" or not. But it looks positive (for a change):

I'd like to know when Texas is going to step up and prove it's a more gun friendly state. You don't get there by appointing democrats to committees. I see state after state passing pro 2nd amendment laws and here we sit. C'mon Texas! Let's do this!
