    M16 AKA "full auto" bolt carrier groups we're classified as non-machinegun parts years ago by the ATF so there isn't any "grey" area with these. Almost all high quality firearms manufacturers now include M16 BCG's with their rifles because the extra weight in the carrier helps with recoil and reliability.

    A pretty large chuck of AR owners use full auto carriers. They tend to cycle better for most people as the extra weight slows the BCG a bit. There is NO grey area when it comes to these BCGs. ONLY thing that can get you in trouble if a full auto sear drop in and I think the full auto selector switch.
