    Nickle maybe, but hopefully not chrome. Depends on what you are looking for. Elaborate as to what you would like to find.

    Check out rock island arms, I think they offer something in a shiny finish, They seem to have some pretty good 1911's for the price. Do a search for Rock Island Arms or RIA 1911 on Gunsamerica or gunbroker and you can see prices...

    RIA or Springfield Mil-Spec would be the way to go.

    RIA makes a shiney nickle GI and a more matted nickle Tactical both under 500 bucks.

    There is a place in dallas called C&G police supply that has a kimber ultra carry 1911 3 inch for 799 nickle
