The Colts and Kimbers are all good shooters. The Sig and Taurus are definetly less accurate. The Government took a match bushing and Dwyer group gripper to get to the accuracy of the Gold cup.

all 3 are chambered in 9mm.

in the past i've had dan wesson cbob .45 and 10mm, kimber pro carry, para ord full size ssp, and RIA tactical.. conclusion? i've spent a buttload of money on guns in the short year that i've been shooting. lol.

Oh yeah? I hear the same thing from my father. What's your argument?
Gonna stick with the .22 for now, as much as it pains me. It'll be better for me in the long run, I suspect. I don't want to make a habit out of poor technique.

I own a Kimber Eclipse Pro Carry II. I am looking for another 1911 but in a 3inch for a CCW. Anyone have a 3inch that they would recommend? I am considering an STI or Para warthog. I may even do a kimber in the ultra size. I just cant make up my mind. Just wanted to get some input on what is out there. Thanks

since im bored at work, i would like to add that my reasoning on why everyone should own a 1911 is because its a part of history. a design that has been around for so long and has been duplicated and cloned in various ways. people "tend" to stear away from glocks because there is no "real" safety even though it has 3, a 1911 has 2 external safeties. the trigger travel is so short, its kind of hard to not be accurate with a 1911.

i bought my first gun april of 2007. it didnt take long til i caught the 1911 bug. lol.

Most people on the Glock forum don't like the 1911's external stuff. They think it slows the deployment of the gun down. I'm not one of them that thinks that way.

i personally do not like the thumb safety on the 1911, i have no complaints about the glock other then double action. i went from sa xd to glock to 1911 back to glock back to 1911.

im probably one of the few young glock owners that did his own stone/polish work, i miss my g26.
