    I don't remember which car it was that got blown up but, had I been standing about two inches to the right, I would've gotten a permanent reminder of it. I have no clue what the piece of shrapnel was that hit the ground and continued on into the field, looked to be about a 4" piece of metal from some part of something.

    After that incident, I had to learn more about explosives and how to place them safely than I ever wanted to know. Others on the planning committee did the same. We were all prepared to go again and be safe. Then the decision was made that we wouldn't go back to that range.

    Oh, well.

    If I hit the lottery, I'll build a range and we dadgum sure will blow stuff up again. :)

    I still don't have a problem with it at all. I was just planning on bringing a 3' x 6' x 3/4" piece of Lexan with me the next time we went there. Ya know, just in case I stood in the same spot again. :)
