22 conversion

Spent the afternoon with my ciener 22 conv for my 45. What a blast. shot 200 rounds and it only cost a couple of bucks. Same holster ,trigger and weight. I think Ill keep this. A lot of fun and pretty accurate. any thoughts on this???

I have one for my AR. Same result, lots of fun for very little money. I will say that the .22 shoots just a little lower than the 5.56.

Does the ciener conversion lock the slide open when the magazine is empty the kimber conversions don't.

No, it doesnt lock back. It is a good way to practice, rounds fired,trigger control, etc. The only gripe I have is it came with a 10 rd mag and the extra 15 rnd mags are pretty pricey.200 buck for the conversion and 40 something for the 15 rounders.

Advantage Arms has a .22 conversion that will lock back on the last shot. My Marvel conversion does not but the slide is aluminum, so it's designed that way.

.22 Conversions have been around a long time. I have a Colt .22 conversion with the floating chamber, so it approximates the recoil of a .45 ACP. Nice to practice with, except you need to use plated bullets rather than std velocity target loads.

Both the Colt and Marvel use the same magazines which makes it nice.
