Thats the funniest thing I have ever read.... But I shouldnt be mean, I have had a boo boo while working on a Corvette Z06. Now the Z06 is a dry sump car and while working on it I just wanted to check the oil, so I pulled the dipstick on the reservoir, and it was reading low, so I added a quart of oil......

Well time to start the engine, luckily I had the hood open and then... POP!!! Dipstick goes flying and a fountain of oil.... Moral of the story... Gotta warm up the engine before working on a car with a dry sump oil system.

My LS3 G8 holds 9 quarts, and my air cooled Porsche 911 held 13 quarts... (as measured at the dipstick)
There are some engines that do use a huge a mount of oil. Always check your owners manual, or start an oil change thread...
