Was shooting my Remington 700 this afternoon (off the patio ~ while the wife was visiting her sister) and found we really get along well with the Hornady 55 grain Soft Points. Scored good hits on golf-balls in the bottom of my (dry as a bone) pond.

Tried several different scopes on this one but settled on a Vortex 3x-9x 40mm, and it's working out really well. Still liking the Levang linear comp too!

This is not my first Hogue OM stock, and while the rubber OM is not my favorite (I'd prefer their hard nylon OM), I don't have any serious issues with it.

    Thanks all.

I find the Vortex Diamondback to have significantly better edge to edge clarity (most noticeable above 5x) than the Nikon Prostaff or Leupold Rifleman.

I'll try to get a pic of the comp this weekend.
