I've been loading 250g bullets with Nitro 100 powder. Its a shotgun powder but like others it works well for revolver rounds.

Using 5.6g Nitro 100 under a 250g FN cast or plated bullet with a 1.60 OAL. I don't have a chrono so I am not sure what they are running from a speed perspective. Not that it matters likely but using CCI LP primers.

These rounds are very accurate. Mostly shot at steel, but the dings are a roughly 3" grouping at about 30'.

Bullseye and Tite Group are faster pistol powders. I use Bullseye for 9X19. I use Tite Group for .45 AUTO. They might be fine with the 185 grain bullet but I do not load light for cartridge rounds much if any. Those powders would leave a lot of empty space inside.
