Finally fired my woodmaster zeroed at 50, and couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn at 100. The ammo were reloads I bought at a gun show 15 years and older ago. The variable I can only think is that ammo was crap. The bullets were spitzer, who makes a bullet like that? I’ve only seen round nose 35 Remington.

More info needed. Do you have the older model with the tubular mag, or the removeable box mag?

Start with a known constant...new factory ammo.

Hornady and more recently some others have spitzer like bullets that have a plastic tip. However, if you are asking who may have made the ones you have been using from 15 years or longer ago - good luck with that.

I believe the 8 or 81 woodsmaster was the semi automatic,
the 141 gamemaster is the pump action rifle with the tubular magazine.

Remington designed this tubular magazine to accommodate pointed tip bullets or Spitzer bullets

I used to have a bunch of 150gr pointed bullets... they were designed to be used in the .350 Rem mag, so I assume they were Remington made bullets.
They were used in one of the most accurate loads I developed in my short stint with the .35 Whelen.
I still have the Whelen, just haven't worked with it in almost 20 years....

They looked short and fat.... with a pointed tip.
