Son wanted a printer for Christmas but I refuse to spoil him too much. So we bought a kit and built our own. Took a few days but we've ended up with a much better printer than we could of bought from the box stores for the same price. We've ordered a 2nd print head so it will run dual.

We are going to make a phone case for his brother. Haven't printed anything yet. Tons of cals to do and firmware to load. He had to go home to his mother's already.

We know you bought it for yourself, now you get to play with it.

Have you finished my psuedo-Glock yet?

Those things are pretty cool. We've got a makerbot at work, but with solid modeling software like SolidWorks, it doesn't seem very useful for work type stuff. Home/hobby type stuff is a totally different deal.
