    Hi Fellas,

Has anyone used the 50 round drum mags and is there more than one manufacturer? I have a Scott Werks Thompson kit and have a couple GSG drums, bunch of 25s, but would like a straight drum for esthetics. Thanks in advance, PAX

I never bothered getting the promag or I think Bulldog branded drums. Most mags that aren't factory Ruger just aren't reliable without a lot of tuning and fixing. If you're just wanting a toy to complete the look of the gun for photos I assume it couldn't hurt but I've never heard anyone rave about 10/22 drum mags being as reliable as the 10 round or BX25 mags.

It's for this little guy. The curved mags work great but look out of place. The Ruger 15 or one of these 50's may have a better profile. PAX

I feel like I've tried all the big mags for the 10/22, the only ones I've bothered keeping are the Ruger ones.

50 round drums are not only junk, they’re impractical. Just get two of the Ruger factory 25 rnd mags and call it a day.
    I have 8 Ruger 25s, 2 100 GRGs, 30 10s on 10 Trimag adapters, & 5 loose 10s. It would be for esthetics on a Thompson clone, 1 of 4 10/22 I have including a bull pup. PAX

Just found a Mitchel 50 round mag. fully loaded. Was loaded by me when I was in High school some50+ years ago. Functioned flawlessly.
