I took this rifle in on trade and I'm trying to learn a little more about it and determine a value.

It's a '55 (373XXX) serial in 220 swift Original stock in really good condition, but a recoil pad was added. It has a Krieger barrel and Timney trigger. I know as far as a collector piece, it doesn't have much value, but I'd rather shoot my guns.

The action is really impressive, super smooth and the Timney trigger has a nice clean break.

I had to order bases for it so I haven't had a chance to take it out and shoot it yet, but I have high hopes for it.

The value is in original everything and in excellent condition, worth at least $1,500 and up.
Yours, with some replacement parts, is a fine shooter, probably <$1,000.
It is hard to tell the value with replacement trigger, etc. Good parts, but they decrease the collector value.
Replacement cost for insurance ends up being higher than what you could actually sell it for.
