    Update:

Originally I said the following states filed Constitutional carry bills.

The following have passed their bills:
    Utah
    Tennessee
    Iowa

Montana and Wyoming passed full CC carry.
They both had limited CC carry prior to this year.

Tennessee, Iowa, and Wyoming’s CC bills don’t go into effect til July 1.

The following states are pending for this year and could pass:
    Texas if passed, effective 9-1-2021
    Louisiana if passed effective 8-1-2021
North Carolina - Unlikely but not dead

The following state did not pass this year, but it has passed the house this year, but is stilALIVE for Senate approval next Session.

    South Carolina

The bills have died in these states this year.
    Alabama
    Georgia
    Minnesota
    Rhoad Island
    Florida
Indiana - It passed the house died in Senate.

Various members of the following states legislatures have vowed to refile CC Bills in the next session.

    Alabama
    Florida
    Georgia
    Indiana

    Louisiana CC bills update:

    HB596 stuck in Senate Committee

    Sb118 stuck in House Committee

each house passed their bills with a greater then 2/3 majority vote.

The democrat governor has vowed to veto either Bill if make it to his desk. However both houses have vowed to initiate a veto override. (They both already received the 2/3 supermajority vote needed, they just need to do it again)

The trick now is getting them out of Committee. The interesting thing is the committees that are reviewing the other houses cc bill, approved their own cc bill. So will a bill make it out of committee. It should! But when is the key. Their legislature Adjourns June 10.

Based on the legislators performance in the last session I'd say zero. After all, they found it more important to pass a bill legalizing hunting hogs from hot air balloons than more meaningful legislation.

Well HB1927 is now sitting in conference, after passing both a
    House and senate.

All members of the conference but 1 are actually strong supporters of the bill. 2 are even democrats that are on record voting for the bill.

The bill will make it out of conference, in what Verizon with what amendments, no one knows yet. But a version will make it out. They are all committed to something passing.

    Keep the pressure on guys.
Please let the committee know that we want this passed, this session.
We can massage the kinks out in a couple of years.
    Especially let mailto:Matt.Schaefer@house.texas.gov
know that we've fought too hard to walk away empty handed.

(Some rumblings that the author may kill it if it's not perfect)

And above all, don't get ugly, stupid or threatening.
Remember where TOC got us last time?

    Thanks!
