Hi guys - being a transplanted Texan, thought I would join this forum for old time's sake. Then decided if I'm going to hunt hogs in Texas, where better to ask my question?

Just bought a BLR 7mm-08 for hog hunting. I hand load, so looking for bullet and/or load recommendations.

I use Nosler Ballistic Tips myself. I hunt with a .308 Win chambered rifle but I believe you would have good luck with the 7mm variety too. I like the Nosler bullets because with them being pointed tips they have very predictable accuracy. I've gotten my hunting loads to group down to 2/3 M.O.A out of my previous hunting rifle, so I know the tolerances are good with the Nosler bullets.

Interesting web site; lots of good information.
I think Noslers will be my first choice - probably the 150g Accubond. Another good possibility seems to be the CT Silvertip.
    Thanks--

I would look @ Nosler For sure!! I've loaded the Ballistic tip, Accubond and partitions(for .270 win). All VERY accurate and awsome stopping power~ Hope this helps
