88 Tons of Donated U.S. Ammo Arrives in Ukraine

"Ukraine received today the delivery of approximately 80,000 kilos of ammunition from the United States," noted the embassy. "It was the fourth shipment made by the United States as part of $60 million in additional security assistance directed to Ukraine by President Biden in August, a demonstration of U.S. commitment to the success of a stable, democratic, and free Ukraine. The United States has given more than $2.5 billion in security assistance to Ukraine since 2014."

    Interesting.... NATO caliber ammo?
Can’t help but wonder how’s that gona work in all those Warsaw Pack small arms.

Note: I do see in one of the photos in the linked article, .50-cal marked on a couple of the skids. So we must have given them some ma deuces at some point.

    Pretty well, I assume
Looks like the vast majority of infantry small arms are chambered in Warsaw Pack calibers - which is what I would have expected. Even mentions some of the IDI firearms are (or have been) convertible to Russian calibers.

To me, the most significant thing about the article is not the potential amount of small arms ammo; it’s the Javelins that were sent. Several examples of those are going to find their way into Russian hands and not just the missile but the LCUs too. Good bye antitank technological advantage!

    Warsaw Pact.

"The Warsaw Pact was a an oppressive effort by the Soviet Union upon seven other Soviet controlled states in Central and Eastern Europe to form an artificial defensive alliance against NATO: Albania, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Hungary, Poland and Romania."

    Warsaw Pact.

Here's the part that disturbs me the most.

That include the billion he said he would not give them if they didn't fire that prosecutor?

Oh, Biden could end that too (IF he wanted to) since he’s the one who initiated it to begin with. As I recall the initial “Russian embargo” did not include ammo, I believe it was added to the list, months later.
